Juno is a NASA mission that will conduct an in-depth study of Jupiter, the most massive planet in our solar system. Juno was launched on August 2011 and will arrive at Jupiter in 2016, when it will be farther from the sun than any previous solar powered spacecraft. Juno’s scientific goal is to understand the origin and evolution of the gas giant planet, which will pave the way to a better understanding of our solar system and other planetary systems being discovered around other stars.
Among other scientific instruments, Juno carries Jiram.
